立川談慶師匠の『不器用なまま、踊りきれ。 超訳 立川談志』を読みました。その中に、立川談志師匠の言葉「自分は間違っているかもしれないと思っている人間を、信用しろ」が紹介されています。
親鸞聖人は「私たち間違っている」と心がけることを説かれました。
もしこの2人が会うことがあったら、意気投合していたかもしれないと想像しています。
I have just read Mr. TATEKAWA Dankei's writing which tells phrases by Mr. TATEKAWA Danshi, one of the greatest Rakugo (Japanese traditional comic storytelling) storytellers. One of his phrases is “You should trust those who think themselves probably wrong”.
Shinran Shonin, the founder of Jodo Shinshu, one of the denominations of Buddhism taught us to take care “We are wrong”.
I suppose that the two would have got along with each other if they had met.
