落語系情報サイト「噺-HANASHI-」に3月5日(火)開催の「おてらくごのススメ」の情報が掲載されています。築地本願寺銀座サロンで19時開演です。

まず三遊亭圓雀師匠に落語「猿後家」を演じて頂きます。そして私が、「他人の目を気にする心」についてお話しします。

"OTERAKUGO NO SUSUME" is an event to like Buddhism through rakugo (Japanese traditional comic storytelling). It will be held at the Tsukiji Hongwanji Ginza Salon on March 5. It will start at 7:00 p.m.

First, Mr. SANYUTEI Enjaku will perform a rakugo "Saru Goke" (A widow who looks like a monkey). Next, I will talk about why we are worried about how other people are viewing us.

仲間と部外者の評価は別です Reputations from our fellows are not all equal with ones from others

SNSに投稿された悪ふざけ動画が批判されています。問題行動の一因として、仲間から「いいね！」を欲しがることが指摘されています。

問題はSNSの動画だけに限りません。仲間内で評判が良くても、部外者からは批判の対象かも知れないのです。例えば、僧侶の間では評価される言動が、一般の人たちには不評であるかもしれません。自戒したいものです。

Prank videos posted on SNS are criticized now. It is pointed out that one of the causes they do so is that they try to get "Like" from their fellows.

The problems are not limited to such videos on SNS. Matters our fellows like may be criticized by others. For example, even if our act had good reputation among Buddhist priests, others might not like it. We should caution ourselves.

2月5日、紀伊國屋書店新宿本店で、立川談慶師匠の新刊『老後は非マジメのすすめ』出版記念のイベントが開かれました。

マジメな生き方は必要です。でも、マジメでない考え方も役に立つのです。師匠の新刊は、そんな生き方を勧めています。

On February 5, I went to a commemoration event of Mr. TATEKAWA Dankei's new writing, which was held at Kinokuniya Shoten, Shinjuku, Tokyo.
We are required to live earnestly. But, non-earnest thinking is also useful for us.
His new writing recommends that we should have non-earnest thinking.
We can find the non-earnest thinking through rakugoes. Let's read his new writing and listen to rakugoes!

食料廃棄を減らそう Let's reduce wasted foods

最近、2月3日の節分に恵方巻を食べる習慣が広まっています。でも、問題があります。毎年、節分後に大量の恵方巻が廃棄されています。これは、生産量が過大だということです。このニュースを聞いて、恥ずかしく思います。生産者も損しているのではないでしょうか。でもこの記事は、廃棄される恵方巻の量が去年より減ったようにほのめかしています。食料廃棄を減らす努力が見て取れます。

Recently, it becomes popular that we eat Eho-rolls on February 3, in Japan. But, there is a problem. Every year, many Eho-rolls are wasted after February 3. This means that the output of Eho-rolls is much more than the demand. It is a shame to hear that news. The producers of Eho-rolls might have lost their profits. However, this article implies that amount of wasted Eho-rolls are less than last year. I can see an effort to reduce wasted foods.
