My column on the relationship between Rakugo and Buddhism is in the issue. I wrote this column about a Rakugo "Kaga-no- Chiyo". Chiyo was a female haiku poet in the Edo period, Kaga was one of the provinces of Japan, the current Ishikawa prefecture. She is famous for her haiku, and she had an earnest belief in Jodo Shinshu.
