カルトに引かれる人は、多数派ではありません。しかし、少数であっても、カルトに魅力を感じる人はいるのです。
今のところ、カルトで特別な体験をしたことが一因ではないかと私は考えていますが、これは不充分なはずです。オウムの信仰カルトにのめり込んでいった原因を究明する人には頭が下がります。
Most people are not attracted by cults. However, some people are drawn to cults even if they are a few.
Now, I think one of the reasons is that they experienced quite something in a cult. My speculation must not be enough. I take my hat off to those who investigate factors that they were absorbed in the cult.

お釈迦さまは苦行したことがあります。しかし、自分を痛めつけても無益であると考え、苦行をやめました。結局、禅定(瞑想修行)で悟りを開いたのです。
努力するのがよいこととは限りません。目的達成のためには、努力と適切な知識の両方が必要です。
熱中症の被害者が少なくなりますように。
The Buddha practiced hard asceticism. But, he stopped it because he was sure that paining himself was useless. Finally, he awakened by meditation.
It is not always good to make an effort. We need both effort and suitable knowledge to reach the goal.
I hope the victims of heat stroke will be less.

7月5日、築地本願寺銀座サロンで「おてらくごのススメ」が開かれました。17名の方にお越し頂きました。ありがとうございました。
始めに、三笑亭可龍師匠に落語「片棒」を演じて頂きました。
落語「片棒」は、父親が3人の息子に、どんな葬式をするつもりなのかを聞く話です。長男と次男は賑やかなお葬式を提案し、三男はお金のかからない質素なものを計画します。
その後、私がお葬式の形についてお話ししました。お葬式の形は、さまざまです。賑やかなものもあれば、質素なものもあります。しかし、大事なのは「亡くなった人のために勤める」ということです。
私たちは、永遠に生きることはできません。そして、この世を離れると、浄土(仏様の世界)に生まれることになります。これが仏教の教えです。
お葬式を仏教式にするのは、「私もいつかはこの世を離れることになる。だから今の命を大切にしなければならない。そして、その世を離れたら仏様の世界に生まれる」という、仏教の教えを感じるためなのです。
On July 5, "OTERAKUGO NO SUSUME", an event to like the Buddhism through rakugo, a Japanese traditional comic storytelling was held at the Tsukiji Hongwanji Ginza Salon. 17 guests came there. Thank you for coming
First, Mr. SANSHOUTEI Karyuu performed a rakugo "Katabou" (One side of a bar). It is a story that a father asked his three sons how they would hold a funeral of their father. The two of three proposed a flourishing funeral, the other one planned to do it with less cost.
Next, I talked about how we had held funeral ceremonies. We hold funerals in various ways. Some are flourishing, others are simple. Anyway, the most important thing in funerals is that we hold funerals for dead people.
We are not able to live forever. So, we must cherish our lives. We will be born in the Pure Land after death. These are teachings of the Buddhism. We usually hold funerals in the Buddhist style in Japan. The reason is that we can feel teachings of the Buddhism.
