落語を通して仏教に親しむ企画「銀座の落語寺」が11月9日、築地本願寺銀座サロンで開催されました。ご来場そしてご覧頂きありがとうございます。
まず、三遊亭圓雀師匠に落語「目黒のさんま」を演じて頂きました。このような話です。ある日、殿様が思いがけずサンマを食べました。昔は、身分の高い人はサンマを食べる習慣がありませんでした。しかし、殿様が一度サンマを食べたところ、サンマをすっかり気に入りました。殿様が常識の外を知ったということです。
その後、私が常識について話しました。常識は便利なものです。常識があるから社会が調和します。しかし、私たちは常識から外れたものに出会うことがよくあります。そんな時、私たちは違和感を覚えます。一方で、常識から外れたものは、何かの突破口になることもあります。だから、常識だけでなく、常識外のことも学ぶことは大切です。仏教の教えの中には、常識とは異なるものがあります。それらは問題を切り開く道になってくれます。だから、仏教は私たちにとって有益なのです。
On November 9, we held "Ginza No Rakugodera", an event to like Buddhism through Rakugo at the Tsukiji Hongwanji Ginza salon. Thank you for coming and watching it.
First, Mr. SANYUTEI Enjaku performed a Rakugo “Meguro no Samma”(Sauries at Meguro). This story is the following; One day, a lord unexpectedly ate sauries. Old days, people of high rank did not have the custom to eat sauries. However, once the lord ate sauries, he became loving them. That means that the lord went out of his common sense.
Next, I talked about common sense. Common sense is helpful. Common sense keeps our society harmonious. However, we often encounter something out of common sense. When we meet it, we feel uncomfortable. On the other hand, something out of common sense can be some breakthrough. So, we need to learn uncommon sense as well as common sense. Some teachings of Buddhism are different from common sense. They can be breakthroughs. Therefore, Buddhism is beneficial for us.
