1月25日、世界宗教者平和会議日本委員会(WCRP Japan)の「新春学習会」に行ってきました。私はWCRPのメンバーではありませんが、浄土真宗本願寺派総合研究所研究員としての出張です。
大地震が発生すると、宗教施設は避難所になることがあります。被災地で生活することは、厳しいものです。障害者にとっては、なおさらです。被災地の障害者を支えるにはどうすれば良いか、という講演でした。
講演後の懇親会では、明石康・元国連事務次長がスピーチをしました。そのスピーチによると、明石氏は、アメリカのトランプ大統領に批判的です。

At January 25, I went to the new year lecture of the World Conference of Religions for Peace Japan (WCRP Japan). I am not a member of the WCRP. This is an official trip as a research fellow of the Jodo Shinshu Studies and Research Center.
When a large earthquake occurs, religious facilities can be shelters. It is severe that you live in disaster area. It is more severe for people with disabilities. The lecture was that what we should do to support people with disabilities in disaster area.
At a party after the lecture, Mr. Yasushi Akashi, Former the U.N. Assistant Secretary General, made a speech. According to his speech, he is critical of President Donald Trump of the U.S.A.
