前向きな言葉は気分を前向きにしてくれます Positive words let our minds positive

三遊亭圓雀師匠 Mr. SANYUTEI Enjaku

落語を通して仏教に親しむ企画「銀座の落語寺」が1月21日、築地本願寺銀座サロンから配信されました。ご覧頂きありがとうございます。
まず、三遊亭圓雀師匠に落語「かつぎや」を演じていただきました。験担ぎが好きな人の話です。そのあと私が、「前向きな言葉」についてお話ししました。世の中には験担ぎが好きな人がいます。験担ぎをすると、幸運が訪れると思うかもしれません。でも、そんな言葉には、状況を良くする(病気を治すなど)力はありません。しかし、前向きな言葉は気分を前向きにしてくれます。気分が前向きだと、行いも前向きになります。前向きな行いは、成功へのカギになります。だから、前向きな言葉を使って、その後に前向きな行いを実行できるなら、それは成功への道になります。

On January 21, we streamed "Ginza No Rakugodera", an event to like Buddhism through rakugo from the Tsukiji Hongwanji Ginza salon. Thank you for watching it.
First, Mr. SANYUTEI Enjaku performed a rakugo "Katsugiya" (A person who likes fortunate words). That story is about a person who likes fortunate words.
Next, I talked about positive words. Some people like fortunate words. You might think that using fortunate words causes fortune. However, such words don't make situations safer, such as curing disease. Whereas, positive words let our minds positive. Positive minds let our behavior positive. Positive behavior can lead us to success. So, you can succeed if your positive words let your behavior positive.
We will hold the next event on March 11. We are looking forward to seeing you. I'd like you to stay safe.

新年のごあいさつ申し上げます。新型コロナウイルスが早く収束しますよう願います。そのためにも、ウイルスを広げないように気をつけたいものです。
I wish you a Happy New Year. I hope that COVID-19 will be over soon. So, let's be careful not to spread the virus.

初詣、地元を見直そう Let's review your neighborhood

初詣の時期、とくに1月1日から3日、お寺や神社へ多くの人がお参りします。でも、今度のお正月は新型コロナウイルス対策のため、初詣しないという人が少なくありません。有名な所は混むでしょうが、有名でなくてもお参りできます。地元を見直してみてはいかがでしょうか？
In Japan, we have a custom that we worship at Buddhist temples or Shinto shrines on new year's days, especially from January 1 through 3. But, gathering people can spread COVID-19. So, quite a few people have decided not to go there in the next new year's days. Famous temples and shrines may be crowded. But, we can worship where it is unknown. I recommend you to review your neighborhood.
