今年の漢字が「金」と発表されました。理由は、今年のオリンピック・パラリンピックで日本選手が多くのメダルを獲得したことです。この漢字は公募で、得票の最も多かった漢字が「今年の漢字」として選ばれます。オリンピック・パラリンピックに反対する人もいましたが、多くの人がそれに関心を持っていたということです。
This year's kanji has just been published. It is 金, gold. One of the reasons is that the athletes of Japan won many gold medals at this year's Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic games.
