仏教に関する本の書評をするサイト、仏教書レビューが更新されました。(私の勤務先、浄土真宗本願寺派総合研究所が運営しています)。これで411冊の書評・紹介を掲載することとなります。

11月8日にオープンした、築地本願寺カフェ「Tsumgi」に行ってきました。お昼時だったので、かなり席が埋まってました。客席の様子を見てみると、本願寺関係者はほぼ見あたりません。一般の人が本願寺の境内に足を運ぶきっかけになっているということで、歓迎したいことです。
I went to “Tsumugi” which is a cafe opened in a precinct of the Tsukiji Hongwnji temple at November 8.
It was a lunch time.So, many tables were taken. At that time, I saw few staffs of the temple and Buddhist priests there. It is that the cafe leads the general public to the precinct. I am glad of it.
築地本願寺でお食事できるところとして、「紫水(しすい)」もあります。私はここの「門前そば」がお勧めです。
There is "Shisui" , one of places to eat in the precinct of the Tsukiji Hongwanji temple. I recommend "Monzen Soba" from it.
11月11日から16日まで、築地本願寺では報恩講法要が勤められています。どうぞお参り下さい。
From November 11 to 16th, Ho'onko (Memorial Service for Shinran Shonin) is held at the Tsukiji Hongwanji temple. You should come!

At January 19 2018, "OTERAKUGO NO SUSUME" , an event to like Buddhism through rakugo will be held at the Tsukiji Hongwanji Ginza Salon.
First, Mr. SANSHOUYEI Karyu will perform a rakugo "Hatsutenjin". Next, I will talk about how you should spend a new year.

昨夜(11月8日)、落語を通して仏教に親しむ企画「おてらくごのススメ」が、築地本願寺銀座サロンで開かれました。お越し頂き、ありがとうございます。
まず、古今亭志ん吉さんに落語「天狗裁き」を演じて頂きました。いろいろな人がある男に「どんな夢を見たのか」と聞いてくる話です。
その後、私が「夢と現実」について話しました。仏教では、夢はたいてい心や体からのメッセージで、未来を予知する夢もあると説かれます。つまり、心や体が夢の元になっているのです。夢の中の出来事は現実ではありません。でも、心や体は現実です。だから、夢と現実は無関係ではないのです。
私たちは、悪夢にうなされることがあります。これは、私たちが心や体によくないものを抱えているからです。そして、自分の心や体を自分の思い通りにできるとは限らないということでもあります。ましてや、他人を思い通りにできるはずがありません。
Yesterday (November 8), "OTERAKUGO NO SUSUME", an event to like Buddhism through rakugo was held at the Tsukiji Hongwanji Ginza Salon. Thank you for coming.
First, Mr. KOKONTEI Shinkichi performed a rakugo "Tengu Sabaki". The story is that various people asked a man "what kind of dream did you see?"
Next, I talked about dreams and realities. Buddhism preaches us that almost dreams are messages from minds and bodies, a few dreams foretell future. Thus, almost dreams base on minds and bodies. Dreams are not realities. But, minds and bodies are realities. Therefore, dreams relate with realities.
We sometimes have nightmares. It means that we contain bad things in our minds and bodies. And, it is not always that we can make our own minds and bodies our way we want. All the more, we can not make others as we want.

Mr. KOKONTEI Shinkichi has been introduced on the Sankei Shimbun websites since January 22, 2017. But, I can not find this article on the papers. It seems to be readable only on the websites.
By the way, at November 8, Mr. KOKONTEI Shinkichi will appear at "OTERAKUGO NO SUSUME" which will be held at the Tsukiji Hongwanji Ginza Salon.
First, Mr. KOKONTEI Shinkichi will perform a rakugo "Tengu Sabaki" ("Tengu" are a type of legendary creature found in Japanese folk religion. "Sabaki" means judgment).
Next, I will talk about dreams and realities.

浄土真宗本願寺派(西本願寺)の前門主・大谷光真さまが、同志社大学内にあるチャペルで講演されました。他の宗教との対話がもっと行われるようになって欲しいです。
Mr. OHTANI Koshin, the Head Priest Emeritus of Jodo Shinshu Hongwanji-ha lectured at the chapel in Doshisha university, Kyoto. I hope that interfaith dialogues would be held more.
