落語を通して仏教に親しむ企画「銀座の落語寺」が1月11日、築地本願寺銀座サロンで開催されました。ご来場そしてご覧頂きありがとうございます。
まず、古今亭志ん雀師匠に落語「井戸の茶碗」を演じて頂きました。このような話です。ある浪人が、茶碗を売りました。浪人は、それが古いただの茶碗だと思っていましたが、実は「井戸の茶碗」という大変な名器でした。
それから、私が「価値」について話しました。その浪人は、その茶碗の値打ちを知りませんでした。これと同じように、私たちの周りには気づいていなくても、貴重なものがあります。仏教は、私たちが感じることは至難の業ですが、仏さまがいつも私たちを導いて見守って下さると教えています。さらに言えば、私たちは自分がたいしたことないと思っていても、実はかけがえのない存在です。

On January 11, we held "Ginza No Rakugodera", an event to like Buddhism through Rakugo at the Tsukiji Hongwanji Ginza salon. Thank you for coming and watching it.
First, Mr. KOKONTEI Shinjaku performed a Rakugo “Ido no Chawan”(A tea bowl of Ido). This story is the following; A samurai sold a tea bowl. He thought it was old and ordinary. However, it was quite a precious tea bowl named "Ido no Chawan"
Next, I talked about values. The samurai had not recognized the value of the bowl. Likewise, some precious things surround us even though we do not appreciate them. Buddhism preaches that Buddhas always lead and guard us although it is difficult for us to feel the behavior. In addition, we are precious even if we do not evaluate ourselves.
