11月29日(木)、築地本願寺銀座サロンで「おてらくごのススメ」が開かれます。19時開演です。
まず古今亭志ん吉さんに落語「転失気(てんしき)」を演じて頂きます(転失気とは何か？知りたいという方は、ぜひ落語を聞いて下さい)。そして私が「かっこつけたがる心」についてお話しします。

First, Mr. KOKONTEI Shinkichi will perform a rakugo "Tenshiki" (What is Tenshiki ? If you want to know it, please listen to the rakugo).

Next, I will talk about mind to want to decorate ourselves.

仏教に関する本の書評をするサイト、仏教書レビューが更新されました。(私の勤務先、浄土真宗本願寺派総合研究所が運営しています)。これで432冊の書評・紹介を掲載することとなります。皆様のご協力に感謝申し上げます。

仏教は笑いに近いのです Buddhism is near funny stories

11月4日、東久留米会館「おてらくごのススメ」が開かれました。お越し頂きありがとうございました。立川談慶師匠にも御礼申し上げます。

立川談慶師匠に落語「金明竹」と「井戸の茶碗」を演じて頂きました。そして、私が落語と仏教の関係について話しました。約400年前、仏教の僧侶が小咄を織りまぜながら仏教の説法をしていました。その小咄が、落語の元なのです。
おかしな行いはしばしば、笑い話の種になります。そして、「人はおかしなことをするものです。つまり、あなたも同じようなことをする場合があるのです」と言えば、それは仏教の教えになります。だから、笑い話と仏教の説法は古くから結びついていたのです。

On November 4, "OTERAKUGO NO SUSUME", an event to like the Buddhism through rakugo (Japanese traditional comic storytelling) was held at the Higashikurume Kaikan. Thank you for coming. I appreciate Mr. TATEKAWA Dankei.

First, Mr. TATEKAWA Dankei performed rakugo "Kinmeichiku" and "Ido No Chawan". Next, I talked about relationship between rakugo and Buddhism. About 400 years ago, a Buddhist priest preached Buddhism with short funny stories. His funny stories are the origin of rakugo.
Follies are often materials of funny stories. Then, when someone says "Human beings often do follies. Thus, you can also do follies", it become a teaching of the Buddhism. So, funny stories and preaching Buddhism have combined since the ancient times.
