落語を通して仏教に親しむ企画「おてらくごのススメ」が9月24日、築地本願寺銀座サロンで開かれました。ご覧頂きありがとうございます。
まず古今亭志ん吉さんに落語「二階ぞめき」を演じて頂きました。このような話です。
吉原で店を冷やかすのが好きな男がいました。吉原に行くのがあまりにも頻繁なので、父親に外出を禁止されてしまいました。しかし父親は自宅の2階に吉原を再現し、男はそこで吉原に行ったかのように遊んでいました。
その後、私が「現実を受け入れることの大切さ」について話しました。その男は外出できませんでしたが、吉原を想像して楽しんでいました。これは、外出できない現実を受け入れたということです。「吉原には行けなくなった。では、何ができるだろう？」と考え、その結論は吉原を想像することでした。もし「吉原に行きたい！」でいっぱいになっていたら、できることを見つけられなかったでしょう。現実を受け入れると、想像を広げることができます。そうすることで、道が開けてきます。

On September 24, "OTERAKUGO NO SUSUME", an event to like Buddhism through rakugo was held at the Tsukiji Hongwanji Ginza salon. Thank you for watching it.
First, Mr. KOKONTEI Shinkichi performed a rakugo "Nikai Zomeki" (An upstairs window-shopper). That story is following;
There was a young man who liked to make fun of clerks of Yoshiwara, a licensed quarter in old Tokyo. And, he went there too frequently. So, his father forbad him to go out. But, his father copied Yoshiwara on the second floor of their house. Then, he enjoyed himself on the second floor as if he had been in Yoshiwara.
Next, I talked about the importance to admit actuality. The young man was not allowed to go out. But, he enjoyed imaging Yoshiwara. That means that he admitted actuality that he could not go out. It seems that he considered "I can't go to Yoshiwara anymore, then what can I do?" His conclusion was imaging Yoshiwara. If he had been eager to go there, he would not have found what he could do. When we admit actuality, we can spread our imagination. It leads us to some solutions.
