今日は終戦記念日です。昭和20年(1945年)8月15日、昭和天皇は終戦の詔書を公表しました。しかし、この日で全ての戦いが終わったわけではありません。ソ連軍は千島列島(当時日本領)への侵攻を続けていました。
今日、さまざまな追悼式が開かれます。全ての戦争犠牲者に哀悼の意を表します。世界が平和であるよう願います。
Today is Anniversary of the end of World War II in Japan. On August 15, 1945, Emperor Showa announced The Imperial Edict of the End of the War to the public. However, Soviet forces were still invading Kuril islands, which was a territory of Japan at that time. All battles did not end on that day.
