「100日後に死ぬワニ」、完結後すぐに商品化の企画が次々に発表されました。それに対して、批判的な意見がかなり見られます。私は、商品化自体は問題ないと思います。しかし、一連の企画には、ワニの死を悼む姿勢が感じられないことが問題だと思います。もし、ワニのお葬式をして、それが済んでからの商品化なら批判を避けられたように思われます。
死を受け入れるには、亡き人(この場合はワニだけど)を悼む時間や儀礼が必要です。
"100nichigo ni shinu wani" (An alligator which dies after 100 days) is a topic recently. As soon as the story concluded, commercialization of that was announced one after another. Quite a few people criticize the commercialization. I think commercialization is not problem. If they had hold the alligator's funeral before announcing the commercialization, they would have been able to avoid these criticizes, I suppose.
We need time and ceremonies to adapt to someone's death.
