挽回のチャンスはあります We have chances to recover

新型コロナウイルスへの対処を見ていて、私は独ソ戦を連想しました。
ソ連軍は初動を誤ってドイツ軍の侵攻を許し、ドイツ軍はモスクワに迫りました。しかし、ソ連軍は後に体勢を立て直して、最終的に勝利しました。
初動が悪くても、それは作戦の失敗を意味しません。挽回のチャンスはあります。新型コロナウイルスへの対策も同じはずです。

The measure against the new coronavirus remind me of the German-Soviet War.
At the early stage of the German-Soviet War, the Soviet forces allowed German forces' invasion due to lack of measures against German forces. German forces were about to occupy Moscow. However, the Soviet forces managed to recover later, they won finally.
If we fail at early stage, it doesn't mean that we fail totally. We have chances to recover. I believe that measures against the new coronavirus are so, too.
