1月23日(木)、落語を通して仏教に親しむ企画「おてらくごの」ススメが築地本願寺銀座サロンで開かれました。13名に方にお越し頂きました。ご来場に御礼申し上げます。
まず、三笑亭可龍師匠に落語「品川心中」を演じて頂きました。落語「品川心中」で、品川の遊女、おそめは、もう生活していけないと思って心中しようとしました。しかし、お金を出してくれる人がいるとわかったら、すぐにやめました。おそめは、もうお金を出してくれる人がいないと思い込んでいたので、それがいることに気がついてなかったのです。
私たちには「これが当然」「これが常識」と思っているものがあります。常識は私たちの信念の基になりますが、思い込みの基にもなります。私たちは困難に出くわした時、思い込みを飛び越えることが必要になります。思い込みを飛び越えさせてくれるのが、他人の意見です。他人の意見を聞いても役に立たないと思うことは、よくあります。でも、他の人の意見から、問題の解決策になる、新しいアイデアを考えつくことがあります。だから、正しいと思えなくても、いろいろな見方を知っておいた方が良いのです。「いろいろな見方」の一つが、宗教です。
On Jaunuary 23, "OTERAKUGO NO SUSUME" was held at the Tsukiji Hongwanji Ginza Salon. This was an event to like Buddhism though rakugo, Japanese trditional comic storytelling. 13 guests came there. Thank you for coming.
First, Mr. SANSHOUTEI Karyu performed a rakugo "Shinagawa Shinju" (A double suicide in Shinagawa). In the story of the rakugo, Osome, a prostitute at Shinagawa, decided to suicide, for she could not make a living. But, she stopped it as soon as she found her patron. She did not realize she had the patron because she had a preconception that she had lost her patrons at all.
We all have some common sense. The common sense is the basis of our beliefs, it makes our preconception. When we face difficulty, we need to go beyond the preconception. It is others' view that lets us go beyond our preconception. We often feel that other opinions are useless. However, other opinions can take us to some new ideas, which can provide solutions to problems. Therefore, we should know various views even if we think these are wrong. Religion is one of them.
