On September 19, "OTERAKUGO NO SUSUME" was held at the Tsukiji Hongwanji Ginza Salon. This was an event to like Buddhism though rakugo, Japanese trditional comic storytelling. 19 guests came there. Thank you for coming.

First, Mr. SANYUTEI Enjaku performed a rakugo "Hambun Aka"(half is dirt). That story was following;
A Sumo wrestler's wife pretended to be modest. A guest commended her husband's physique, then she said "Although my husband's physique looks excellent, the half is dirt"

We tend to think that our effort lead to success when we make good results. But, wait a moment. Why we can make an effort ? Because we are supported by surrounding people and environment. We want to believe that our own actions are significant. So, we remember our own effort although we easily overlook other's supports. When we emphasized that our own actions have led the success, the listeners would feel that we boasted of ourselves. If we think that we owe our success to surrounding supports, we can be modest.
