6月22日、落語と仏教の企画が、浜離宮朝日ホールで開かれました。
On June 22, an event of Rakugo and the Buddism was held at the Hamarikyu Asahi Hall.
まず、柳家三三(やなぎやさんざ)師匠に落語「寿限無」と「万金丹」を演じて頂きました。「寿限無」は、両親が子供に長い長い名前を付ける話です。「万金丹」は、2人の旅人が思いがけなく僧侶になって、あわてて戒名を付ける話です。
First, Mr. YANAGIYA Sanza performed two rakugoes "Jugemu" and "Mankintan". A story of "Jugemu" is that parents name very long name to their son. "Mankintan" is a name of a medicine, a Rokugo "Mankintan" is a story that two travelers became the Buddhist priests unexpectedly and named the Buddhist name to a dead person in panic.
落語の後、釈徹宗先生(相愛大学教授)と橋本順正氏(浄土真宗本願寺派総合研究所研究助手)の対談です。対談では、名前を付けることは対象を規定することであって、単なる記号ではないと話し合われました。
大変勉強になる企画でした。
After the rakugo, Dr. SHAKU Tesshu and Mr. HASHIMOTO Junshou talked about naming. They said: Naming has ability to figure objects. Names are not only marks.
I learned a lot through the event.
