築地本願寺の月刊誌、『築地本願寺新報』3月号が発行されました。特集記事「お経って何だろう」を、私が書かせて頂きました。この中で、(1)お経はどのように作られたのか？(2)なぜ日本のお経は漢文で書いてあるのか？(3)お経を読むのは何のため？、について書かせてもらっています。読んで頂ければ幸いです。
The March issue of The Tsukiji Hongwanji Shimpo, a monthly magazine of Tsukiji Hongwanji temple has been published. The feature article of the issue is "What are sutras (Buddhist scriptures)?".
I wrote in the article following; (1) How were sutras formed? (2) In Japan, why are sutras written in the classical Chinese? (3) Why do we read or recite sutras?
