『東京かわら版』9月号に「おてらくごのススメ」告知がのりました。

寄席情報の月刊誌『東京かわら版』9月号が届きました。130ページに9月13日開催の、「おてらくごのススメ」の情報が掲載されました。
今回は三遊亭春馬師匠に落語「花筏(はないかだ)」を演じて頂きます。そして私が「お念仏を称えるのはどんな時？」と題して、お念仏についてお話しします。

At September 13, "OTERAKUGO NO SUSUME" , an event to like Buddhism through rakugo will be held at the Tsukiji Hongwanji Ginza Salon.
First, Mr. SANYUTEI Haruba will perform a rakugo "Hanaikada" ("Hanaikada" is a Sumo wrestler's name). Next, I will talk about Nembutsu (calling Amitayus Buddha's name).

仏教に関する本の書評をするサイト、仏教書レビューが更新されました。(私の勤務先、浄土真宗本願寺派総合研究所が運営しています)。
これで407冊の書評・紹介を掲載することとなります。
皆様のご協力に感謝申し上げます。今回の新規の掲載は以下の通りです。

・櫻井義秀著『人口減少時代の宗教文化論』(北海道大学出版会)
・横山紘一著『唯識に生きる』(ＮＨＫ出版)

エンディング産業展2017(ENDEX2017)

東京ビッグサイトで開かれているエンディング産業展2017(ENDEX2017)に、浄土真宗本願寺派総合研究所のスタッフとして参加しました。さまざまな、斬新な葬送のスタイルが展示されていました。
浄土真宗総合研究所はアンケートを行い、僧侶や寺院に対する意見をうかがいました。
宗教団体の出展がかなり少なかったのが残念です。より多くの宗教団体が葬送についてアピールしてくれればと思います。

I took part in the Tokyo Int'l Funeral & Cemetery Show 2017 (the ENDEX2017) as a staff of the Jodo Shinshu Studies and Research Center. It was held at Tokyo Big Site.
Various novel funeral styles are exhibited there.
We asked opinions about buddhist priests and temples.
I am sorry that there were few exhibits by religious organizations. I hope more religious organizations would spread the significance of the funeral.

実証できないものを信じる

死後の世界は実証できません。でも、人は実証できないものを求めるのです。「霊魂を信じる」と答える人が増えているのは、自然なことです。死後の世界を語ることは、宗教の役目ではないでしょうか。

We can not demonstrate the world after death. But, we require ones which are not able to demonstrate. It is reasonable that who answer "I believe in the souls" are increasing. I believe that telling people the world after death is one of missions of religions.

築地本願寺新報8月号

築地本願寺発行の月刊誌『築地本願寺新報』8月号の特集は、築地本願寺銀座サロンです。落語を通して仏教に親しんでもらう企画「おてらくごのススメ」も紹介されています。次回の「おてらくごのススメ」は9月13日開催です。

The August issue of "Tsukiji Hongwanji Shinpo", a monthly magazine published by Tsukiji Hongwanji, features on Tsukiji Hongwanji Ginza Salon. It introduces "OTERAKUGO NO SUSUME", an event to like Buddhism through rakugo. The next "OTERAKUGO NO SUSUME" will be held at September 13.

「いただきます」「ごちそうさま」は何のため？

武蔵野大学の学生食堂で、見かけました。これは、食事のあいさつの意義を示しています。
食べることは自分を維持することであり、生き物の命を奪うことでもあります。私たちはみな迷惑をかけているということです。だから、私たちは命に感謝するべきなのです。

I saw this board at a cafeteria of Musashino university. This board tells us a meaning of salute at meals.
Eating is keeping yourself. Eating is taking lives of creatures. It means that we all have sin. So, we should appreciate others' lives.
